How To Add Network Speed Monitor On Windows 11 Taskbar

What is Traffic Monitor?

Are you looking for a reliable Windows 11 app to monitor your network speed? Look no further than Traffic Monitor! This free and open-source app displays your Internet speed in real-time and offers CPU and Memory usage statistics in your taskbar. Plus, Traffic Monitor includes "historical traffic statistics" unavailable in other net speed meter apps, making it the superior choice.

How Traffic Monitor Works?

With two network monitor windows - Main Window and Taskbar Window - Traffic Monitor offers many customization options. The Main Window provides a graphical interface that can be moved and locked anywhere on your desktop, while the Taskbar Window lets you add Network Speed Monitor to your taskbar. You can personalize your network monitor by choosing background colors, text, and themes and changing the net speed unit. And if you get bored with the default skin, you can easily replace it in the Main Window.

Overall, Traffic Monitor is a fantastic choice for anyone checking their network speed. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

Here is a step by step guide on how to use Traffic Monitor

1. Firstly, download the TrafficMonitor zip file from GitHub. It is available for 64-bit and 32-bit Windows OS. Although a lite version is available, it is recommended to download the central performance.

2. Once the zip file is downloaded, right-click on it and select "Extract All" > "Extract." Then, open the extracted TrafficMonitor folder and right-click the "TrafficMonitor" file. Click on "Run as administrator."

3. A Windows Protection window may appear. Click on "More Info" > "Run anyway." A shield icon will appear in the Windows taskbar. Click on it and then click on "Yes" in the UAC window.

4. The main window of TrafficMonitor will appear. Right-click on it and select "Show Taskbar Window." Internet Speed Monitor will now appear in the taskbar.

5. To turn off the main window, right-click on it again and select "Show main Window" to uncheck it. Then, right-click on TrafficMonitor, visible in the taskbar, and select "Options" to open settings.

6. Customize the taskbar window as desired and change the net speed unit if needed. Click the "General Settings" tab and enable the "Autorun when Windows starts" option. Select English as the language and click on "Apply" > "OK."

That's it! Now you have real-time download and upload speed added to your Windows 11 taskbar.
